Catching up!!!

Snow day in a big city!

Hello everyone!

Hope you're doing great. A lot has been happening these past few months and the dogs are just starting to find a balance again!

Been working on a new community post to highlight some retired professors and some reviews that have been sitting in our drafts or rejected/ghosted by other publications!

Side note: One thing we want to do at Riot Reviews is to work with you, our contributors, every step of the way to publication. We want to maintain unbiased reporting and help you publish, even if the show is no longer up! As long as the show is documented and you, or a friend, have taken quality pics of the work, we will help you get published with proper credit!!! Even if you don't think the pics look that great, that's ok! We are happy to help you edit them to get them publication ready, and provide tips for next time! Our Editor-In-Chief and other main contributors are photographers. We know the struggle.

I think that was a great segue, or as good as we can get.... Anyway! We wish to discuss some of the cool things that have happened lately and some will go up as part of Riot Reviews or as member highlights! We're still debating on that.

If you're wondering where Art History 101 has been, so is our Editor-in-Chief!!!! She's been extra busy lately and, to be COMPLETELY honest, gets lost in the research sometimes. However! She will have something up for you soon with an emphasis on philosophy and its role in how art works and its place in institutions! We hope you like it!!!! Especially when a lot of work goes into it.

A lot of work goes into what we want to do and that means things will take time, even the blogs at this point....but it also means more quality work! We are a small team of artists and writers at the moment and we hope us coming back, being in the community, and being a space for creatives to share their thoughts, opinions, and soon their art, is worth it!

The Riot Dogs have been undergoing major introspection about where we are looking to head with this collective and how to feasibly achieve those goals with our schedules in mind. We're working on art while we work on the content for the collective while also having jobs and familial responsibilities, so that also puts pins in things.

Side note 2: We are hoping to have a group show with you all or curate a show for you all very soon! Let us know which you would prefer. One means we show with you another is a show just for you.

We are incredibly grateful for your support and glad you've stuck with us this far. We hope you stick around and participate in what we have planned!!!
